On 'Woyzeck'
Of all the Klaus Kinski films I've seen, none hit me so hard as 'Woyzeck'. It didn't just move me; it reached out, grabbed my tongue, and pulled my guts out - bleeding, squirming, raw. Kinski simply stood on the the cliff of insanity and looked over the edge. And what he saw, we saw on his face. Mad, mad Klaus; you were too intense for your profession, and all of us who've been your devotees are nursing secret radiation burns in our hearts. A burn that looks like your face in 'Woyzeck'.
